I’ve been building on the web for a long time. I remember when the internet felt like it belonged to everyone (GeoCities!), and when it started not to (Facebook!). I belong to that ineffable cohort of humans who were raised on the Oregon Trail, and my perspective has been shaped in part by partisan politics, middle class privilege, and just enough neurodivergence to confuse people.
I think a lot about humans, technology, and the gap between how things could be and how they actually are. A lot of the time I’m talking to people in the WordPress world, but I think the questions I’m asking are bigger than any one platform.
I believe open source is a philosophy and community is a feeling. I believe humans are meant for much more than making money.
I also believe the best way to figure out what you really think is to share it with someone else, so you can see it through their eyes.
So, here I am, doing that. Finally. Feedback and additional thoughts appreciated.
